Commentary on SCOTUS Ruling

Previously we’ve mentioned that the editor for is apparently a Hebrew Roots type believer.  Click here for our past post titled “SurvivalBlog goes Torah!”  Well, he has written an excellent commentary on the recent Supreme Court case.  Click here for that link.  It is worth reading.  He’s faithfully stated the truth, despite the increasingly hostile environment we live in.  Please add him and his family to your prayers.  Boldly proclaiming Adonai’s truth is a dangerous thing these days.

Sovereign Elohim, have mercy on those who seek to obey You in this vile culture.

Return of the Bethlehem Star?

Some people, who have studied stars and constellations in the skies, have made an interesting hypothesis. They believe the star seen by the wise men at Yeshua’s birth was a rare astronomical anomaly that is reappearing this week. It should be visible from North America. They’ve dubbed this the Bethlehem Star, the Messiah’s Star, or the Christmas Star.  A few are wondering if this is a signal of Messiah’s second coming.  Others have cautioned that this might be Satan’s counterfeit to announce the anti-christ coming on the scene. Regardless of how it happens, or the meaning of it, we may see a bright star (or more accurately, a conjunction of planets shining brightly) in the skies over the next few nights.  From what I read, tonight and tomorrow (Tuesday) night are the main days to view it.  Let’s remain watchful and especially prayerful in these times.

Silver in the Streets

Over the last decade, more and more people have advised buying gold and silver as a safety mechanism. They recommend them as a way to store wealth when the inevitable global economic collapse occurs. The Bible mentions gold and silver often. Adonai, the Creator of the universe, is the One who gave these things value. He created gold and silver, proclaimed them to have value and thus, they have always been valuable throughout history. However, in the Biblical last days, these precious metals will not save anyone. They may be beneficial in some respects, temporarily, but they are not where we should put our ultimate trust. Only YHWH through His Son, Yeshua the Messiah, can bring real salvation. Read the prophecy below from Ezekiel. As with many Biblical prophecies, it seems to have multiple fulfillments, one that has already happened (directed specifically at Israel) and potentially another yet to come (which may have wide-spread application).

They will throw their silver into the streets; their gold will be like something unclean. On the day of Adonai’s wrath their silver and gold won’t be able to rescue them. These things won’t satisfy their hunger, these things won’t fill their stomachs, because these are what caused them to sin. ~~ Ezekiel 7:19

Expecting a Heat Wave

Recently, the weather related news has predicted some severely hot weather for the northwestern part of the US. This includes parts of Montana. Some people who aren’t familiar with Montana assume that it never gets hot here because we are so far north. That is not the case. There are plenty of places in this vast state that get over 100 degrees Fahrenheit during the summer months. Thankfully, there is low humidity most of the time, and the triple digit heat normally doesn’t last that long. Many homes in Montana do not have air conditioning. It isn’t essential since the daily low temperatures are usually sufficient to cool off homes by simply opening windows at night. However, to increase the comfort level on those days with barely a breeze to blow in, some residents purchase evaporative cooling units. With the recent predictions for stifling heat, these units are flying off store shelves. In any extreme temperature event, whether cold or hot, power supplies can get strained by the increased usage. So, let’s pray that the electric grid continues to function properly so that people may effectively utilize these cooling tools.

Hope you all are enjoying the summer wherever you are. It is such a blessing to witness each of the seasons that our Elohim created! Shalom!

Silence is Golden

Just had to share another great verse from Proverbs:

“He who belittles another lacks good sense, whereas a person of discernment stays silent.” ~~ Proverbs 11: 12

And, truly, we know that just the act of biting our tongue isn’t enough. Our hearts must be pure, loving and merciful. Adonai be praised!
