Recently, the weather related news has predicted some severely hot weather for the northwestern part of the US. This includes parts of Montana. Some people who aren’t familiar with Montana assume that it never gets hot here because we are so far north. That is not the case. There are plenty of places in this vast state that get over 100 degrees Fahrenheit during the summer months. Thankfully, there is low humidity most of the time, and the triple digit heat normally doesn’t last that long. Many homes in Montana do not have air conditioning. It isn’t essential since the daily low temperatures are usually sufficient to cool off homes by simply opening windows at night. However, to increase the comfort level on those days with barely a breeze to blow in, some residents purchase evaporative cooling units. With the recent predictions for stifling heat, these units are flying off store shelves. In any extreme temperature event, whether cold or hot, power supplies can get strained by the increased usage. So, let’s pray that the electric grid continues to function properly so that people may effectively utilize these cooling tools.
Hope you all are enjoying the summer wherever you are. It is such a blessing to witness each of the seasons that our Elohim created! Shalom!
