Compass Set to Jerusalem

There has not been a Holy Temple for the Elohim of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob since 70 A.D. when the second temple was destroyed.  Many in the faith believe that Adonai hears more of our prayers if we face the location His house once stood, in Jerusalem.  Most observant Jews throughout the world, from my understanding, try to face the Holy City each day in their prayers.

With this in mind, and knowing so many people get turned around easily, I found the Kosher Compass to be a fascinating invention (see link here).  It is a compass that instead of pointing North, always points toward Jerusalem.  I don’t have one (yet!), but I find it incredibly creative!

Yes, listen to the plea of your servant, and also that of your people Isra’el when they pray toward this place. Hear in heaven where you live; and when you hear, forgive! ~~ I Kings 8: 30
