What’s In a Name? Rosh Hashanah

Is it Rosh Hashanah, Feast of Trumpets, or Yom Teruah?

Whatever name you give it, are you preparing for this Fall Feast?  Or have you already observed it?

Whenever YHWH’s Feast times near, there always seems to be conflict over whatever calendar is being used.  As we have stated many times here, we believe that Yeshua will have to settle this issue when He returns.  Dear brethren, let us not argue, but rejoice that we each are observing Elohim’s mitzvot, regardless of the dates used.  Whatever calendar you believe is right, observe His Holy Days with sincere love for Him and do not use differing dates to cause divisions in the family of Adonai.

With that said, I wanted to share this wonderful article from Nehemia Gordon titled “How Yom Teruah Became Rosh Hashanah.”  While he is not a believer in Yeshua as Messiah, the thing I appreciate about him is his ability to clearly distinguish between the true Word of God and Jewish tradition.  His explanation linked below is well done…

The Baal Harbinger

As we discussed last week, the unveiling of a replica arch in NYC has taken place.  WND.com (formerly World Net Daily) has an article and video from Jonathan Cahn on the event.

May our gracious Elohim have mercy on us all!

Shabbat Observance Saves Lives

Can our obedience to YHWH provide protection in our physical lives?

An article from Israel’s Channel Seven (Arutz Sheva) describes a Jewish business owner in Manhattan.  His business was damaged in the recent terrorist bombing.  But since it occurred on Shabbat, his business was closed and his workers were not there.  He gives Adonai the glory for keeping them safe through their obedient observance of His Sabbath.  Amen!

Health of a President

Anyone reading this blog over time knows that I hate discussing politics.  Both parties in the American political system are equally bad in my view, just taking different routes to the same destination.

With that said, I noticed on Martin Armstrong’s website earlier this week, an intriguing video.  I felt confident, since he was the one posting it, that this was not just some dramatic hype like so many videos on these topics tend to be.

ASIDE: If you aren’t familiar with Mr. Armstrong’s work, I would recommend taking some time to review it.  He never expresses any kind of Biblical faith, so I don’t know where he stands on that.  But his “predictions” or rather that of the Socrates computer he developed are stunning in their accuracy. His website is www.armstrongeconomics.com and he is the subject of a recent documentary titled The Forecaster.

The video claims to be the work of a physician examining public evidence to piece together a probable explanation for Hillary Clinton’s behavior.  He states multiple times that he has not directly examined or treated Mrs. Clinton.  He is only using his expertise to evaluate what he has seen on video and in writing.  I am certainly not a doctor, so I cannot verify his conclusions.  I only submit this to you for contemplation.  If nothing else, it is greatly interesting.

Homestead Critters: Cattle

Understandably, not all homesteads will be able, or want, to include cattle as part of their plans.  But you should realize that hundreds of acres of land are not necessary to accommodate bovine beauties.  Some extra space is needed, but you may be surprised what can be done on small acreage.

Some farms will purchase one feeder calf each year to graze on their land until it grows hefty enough to butcher.  Others will raise smaller size cattle, such as Dexters.  This option allows a couple head to be placed in the space that would only accommodate one full-size cow.  Their size makes them easier to handle overall for small homestead operations.

Neighbors who enjoy the benefits of cattle grazing (pasture mowing and fertilizing) may want to be included in your pasture rotation.  And, with a little bit of tractor work, cow pies can be included in your garden compost.

Cattle can certainly involve extra work, especially if you breed them and raise calves.  Dear Hubby has single-handedly wrangled, dehorned and castrated calves without a squeeze chute or encloser, but he is a special kind of man.  😉  Normally, you will need help or equipment to handle some of these tasks.

As the price of beef, and everything it seems (!), continues to rise, cattle are definitely something to consider in any homestead plan.

Reading a Scroll Without Opening It

An amazing technological advancement was announced today.  Researchers found that they could read a fragile Biblical scroll without opening it.  The technique is “virtual unwrapping,” which they describe as a 3D digital analysis of an X-ray scan.

Their discovery showed a section from the book of Leviticus that is identical to what is read today.  Fascinating stuff!

Coming Soon to NYC: Baal?

What a disturbing level of blindness and complacency exists in our world!

You may be aware that, as the terrorist ISIS thugs have moved across different landscapes, they have destroyed historical architecture and monuments along the way.  One thing they destroyed in 2015 was the Temple of Baal, a popular landmark in Syria.  This particular destructive act may have been a good thing, as our Elohim has always called upon the high places of false gods to be torn down.  However, some people decided this specific landmark should be recreated and memorialized.  Why, of all the things ISIS has destroyed, is this structure worthy of reproduction?  (And, what spiritual entity would have encouraged this?)

So plans were made to replicate the arch from Baal’s Temple and place one in London and one in New York.  Later, that plan was supposedly reworked to replicate a different arch, making it a bit more subtle in its disregard for the One True God.

Have you heard anything about this?  It is certainly flying under the radar, isn’t it?

The new replicated arch resembles one built by the Romans to commemorate a victory over Parthia.  So what?  Who lived in the Parthian Empire during that time?  Descendants of the Northern Tribes of Israel…Joseph / Ephraim.  So this arch commemorates victory over the dispersed people of YHWH!  Most certainly that would meet with HaSatan’s (aka Baal’s) approval.

London’s version was erected in April and the NYC version is scheduled to be unveiled TOMORROW, September 19th.  Read these linked stories for more information.

We cannot be on our knees enough.  The days are dark, but our Elohim is a pure righteous light.  Pray fervently for our country and this world, for more eyes and hearts to be opened, in these dangerously wicked days.
