Homesteading is an incredibly rewarding life but it is best suited to those who are realists, who can get their hands dirty and who don’t create unnecessary drama in their life. Homesteading has enough drama in itself without purposely generating more. This life is very dynamic. It’s full of uncertainties, great enjoyment, successes, failures, birth, death, reassessments, trying a new approach, and on and on. There is no time for someone who wants to create drama. Look around. There’s natural drama everywhere. Don’t seek it out or try to manufacture it! Be realistic and practical. Time is too valuable to waste it on fairy tales or excessive emotional hype.
