Childless Moms

Mother’s Day is not always a happy time.  It can be terribly difficult for those who would like to be, but are not (for whatever the reason) Moms.  Even just the grocery store cashier saying “Happy Mother’s Day” in the assumption you are one, can be heartbreaking.  Although I am glad for this day as a time to honor my own Mom and the other Moms we know, it is also a day of sadness and emptiness.  You see, I am one of those “childless moms” out there.  On this day, please take at least a minute or two to think about and pray for those who are not blessed with children, those who find their heart in their throat when someone says HMD.
